Sunday Summary #27

Our Fourth Quarantine!

Namaste ,

Welcome to An Urban Journey’s 27th Sunday Summary. This edition of the Sunday Summary was written in our airbnb in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA! We had a 35 hour travel “day” back to the United States two Thursdays ago, but we made it safely!

    Last Week.

Our last week in India was fraught with Monsoon level rains. We had no WiFi for days as power flickered on and off, BUT we made the most of it!

Here are some highlights from the past week:

    • We toured the famous Baga Beach most notably for its nightlife and 24/7 beachside bars. Of course none of them were open during Monsoon season plus the pandemic, but it was still neat to walk around and explore!

    • We walked around the North Goan town of Anjuna and were surprised by its artist / hipster vibe. We had a bite of delicious Mediterranean food (strange, right?) at Artjuna Cafe and on the cafe property there was an outdoor library, outdoor gym, a jungle-gym for children and a set of ping pong tables.

    • We had a 35 hour travel day and made it safely back to the United States! It was a slightly stressful trip because we weren’t able to check in or prepare for our flights as power and Wifi was out days prior, but everything worked out. The direct flight from Delhi to Newark was surprisingly full! Mainly filled with Indian citizens we were among the few with American passports. Customs let us in with no issues at all and now we are voluntarily self-quarantining for 2 weeks at the beach in Florida.

    Vlogs.

Here are all the vlogs we’ve released since our last Sunday Summary:

If you haven’t already, we would love for you to subscribe to our channel or share our videos with your friends and family to spread the love.

    This Week.

For our fourth (and hopefully final) quarantine, we will mainly be catching up on work as we have many videos left to edit from our Indian adventure. We are trying to wake up around 4:30am every morning, and enjoy an hour run along the beach with our dog. This way we get out of the house safely with minimal human interaction. Next week for our Sunday Summary, we will be sharing a special recap of our year long trip and the many things we are grateful for.

    Gratitudes.

We continue to be grateful for the opportunities that we have been presented with this past year. Sending you peace and well being from our space in the world to yours. Thank you for following our journey!

    Namaste,Jenn + Elliot
