Sunday Summary #17

India's "Pink City," Jaipur

Namaste ,

Welcome to An Urban Journey’s 17th Sunday Summary. This edition of the Sunday Summary was written in our hotel in Jaipur, India.

Last Week.

Last week was quite the packed week! With global measures for the COVID-19 ramping up, India has suspended new foreigner visas, so if we had traveled a week later we might have had to switch up our plans! The cases in India have not gotten out of control, but we are monitoring it closely and traveling as safe as possible. Here are a few highlights from our time last week:

  • Playing Holi in Vrindavan and taking countless selfies with the locals.

  • Watching the sunrise over the Taj Mahal was something we’ll never forget. It was beautiful!

  • Riding our first, first-class train from Agra to Jaipur

Last week we released a few more Galápagos vlogs. Editing these vlogs has been so much fun as we relive these great memories! You can access it here if you missed it:

This Week.

This week we’re taking it a bit slower than our already slow travel pace. Here are some of the fun things we’re tentatively looking forward to:

  • Touring the Amber Fort

  • See the Jantar Mantar observatory

  • Visit Hawa Mahal aka “Palace of the Winds”

We hope all everyone is staying safe with Coronavirus going around. Although we have an “itinerary” for India, all of our plans are tentative with the virus as we keep up to date with the spread and containment of the virus in India. While we have made our initial tentative plans for India, if you have any recommendations for Sri Lanka or Thailand, please send them to [email protected]

Thank you for following our journey!

Namaste,Jenn + Elliot
