Sunday Summary #14

Heatwave in Melbourne

Hello ,

Welcome to An Urban Journey’s fourteenth Sunday Summary. This edition of the Sunday Summary was written in our Airbnb from Melbourne, Australia. Here’s a quick recap of what happened last week and what’s to come:

Last Week.

The majority of our week was spent going for runs around Melbourne and working. The highlight of our week was attending the Twilight Sail, aka Race, on Wednesday night! We were able to join as crew on two different boats - Jen was on The Crusader and Elliot was on The Antagonist. The Antagonist won first place for 2 races and placed in the third! The skipper gave Elliot a commemorative Winners’s wine glass, shown in the photo above. We had a blast meeting some Melbourne locals and practicing our sailing lessons. I think we’re still on cloud nine from the adrenaline rushing through our bodies as we put our new skills to the test.

This Week.

This week will include more runs, work days, and hopefully another Wednesday night sail. Since we expect to do the exact same things in the next two weeks, we’ll be taking next week off Sunday Summary and will pick back up in the middle of February. 

We are currently planning our final time in Australia and our next continent of Asia. If you have any recommendations for India, please send them to [email protected] as we’ll be heading there in the beginning of March.
